Hertz teamed up legendary racing team, Team Penske, to introduce a limited edition of 150 distinctive black and yellow Hertz-Penske Mustang GTs, available for rental through the Hertz Adrenaline Collection at a premium rate of $130 per day.
The Hertz Penske GT, based on the 2014 Mustang GT, boasted top-notch features including Brembo brakes, Recaro seats, the Handling Pack, CAI tune, supplemental gauges, and GT500 mufflers. These limited-edition vehicles sported a sleek all-black exterior adorned with Penske Racing fender badges, a vibrant yellow offset hood/roof stripe, and stylish door stripes.
Each Hertz-Penske GT started as a black 2014 Mustang GT Premium with a potent 5-liter “Coyote” V-8 engine generating 420 horsepower, furnished with Recaro leather racing seats, Brembo brakes, and an Electronics Package featuring navigation. Team Penske further enhanced these vehicles with a Ford Racing Handling Pack suspension, lowered springs, 3.55:1 rear-axle gearing, cold-air induction, Boss 302 Laguna Seca gauge package, and custom illuminated door-sill plates.
Enhancements also included a performance exhaust system for increased horsepower and a commanding exhaust note. Externally, the cars featured distinctive elements such as a Boss 302 chin splitter, Shelby GT500 rear valence with quad exhaust tips, and custom yellow graphics. Each car was individually numbered with custom badges.
