Although the car portrayed in the 2014 action film “Need For Speed” is supposed to be a Shelby Mustang, it was actually a special one-of-a-kind Ford Mustang GT500 built by Ford in collaboration with DreamWorks. The Mustang was also used as a pace car 2013 Ford EcoBoost 400 season finale at the Homestead-Miami Speedway to help increase the hype around the car.
