Mustang Of The Day: 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Eleanor Tribute

This 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback has been restored and transformed as a Shelby GT500 Eleanor-style tribute. The restoration involved fitting a fiberglass Eleanor-style body kit, which includes wheel arch flares, rocker panels with side-exit exhaust outlets, side air scoops, a trunk lid spoiler, a hood, a taillight panel, and bumpers. Additional features include Eleanor-style grilles, front driving lights, hood pins, chrome bullet-style mirrors, and Shelby GT500 badging.

The interior has been upgraded with a new black leather Deluxe interior featuring adjustable bucket seats adorned with Carroll Shelby signature embroideries on the backrests. The interior also boasts a Shelby-style roll bar, retro-style shoulder belts, a Lecarra Shelby-style steering wheel, and new digital gauges.

Under the hood, the car is powered by a carbureted 427ci V8 stroker crate engine, mated to a heavy-duty 5-speed manual transmission and a rebuilt 9” rear end. The vehicle is equipped with exhaust headers, power-assisted rack and pinion steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and coilover suspension both at the front and rear.
