The 2019 Shelby Super Snake boasted a 5.0-liter V8 engine delivering over 800 horsepower, propelling it from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.5 seconds.
The Super Snake offered two output options: a standard 710 horsepower with a Ford Performance supercharger, or an optional 800-plus horsepower with a larger Whipple supercharger. Both versions included an upgraded cooling system with a custom radiator and high-flow heat exchanger, along with a Ford Performance exhaust kit.
The 2019 Super Snake was available with either a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission. Automatics came with a high-performance transmission cooler, while manuals featured single-piece driveshafts.
Shelby American also improved the car’s handling with a Ford Performance suspension kit or an optional Penske/Shelby track suspension kit. Wilwood brakes, with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers and drilled/slotted rotors, handled stopping duties.
Cosmetic enhancements included a custom hood, grille, fascias, spoiler, rockers, and new “Bold” paint schemes like Shadow Black/Green Stripes. The car also sported 20” forged aluminum wheels in “Black” or “Bright” finishes. Inside, the Super Snake featured signature-series floor mats, door sill plates, a Shelby authenticity placard, and Katzkin seats with custom stitching that matched the exterior color.
