Mustang Of The Day: 2019 Ford Mustang GT – Tickford Trans-Am

This is one of only 100 Ford Mustang GTs built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of a legendary race car: the Coca-Cola-sponsored Ford Boss 302 Mustang driven by champion driver Allan Moffat.

Canadian-born Australian driver Allan Moffat piloted the original Coca-Cola Boss 302 Mustang to an astonishing 101 victories out of 151 races between 1969 and 1972. This iconic car, built by Ford’s in-house racing division Kar Kraft, became a symbol of dominance on the track.

To celebrate this racing legacy, Ford released a limited run of 100 Mustang GTs. All are finished in a striking red, echoing the original car, and adorned with replica decals. The red and black leather interior offers a classic and sporty feel.

Australian vehicle specialist Tickford took these Mustangs to the next level. Their upgrades include a a tuned 5.0-liter V8 engine, courtesy of Tickford’s “Tickford 400” package, unleashes 536 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque, along with functional enhancements like driving lights, an under-hood strut bar, and a rear spoiler.

Inside, Tickford added embossed logos, upgraded trim, a thicker steering wheel, and a retro-styled manual gear knob. Special Tickford Trans-Am badging and a unique build plaque make each car a true collector’s item.
