Mustang Of The Day: 2015 Ford Shelby GT350 50th Anniversary Edition

Ford paid tribute to their corporate history and the original 1965 Shelby GT350 with a special variant of the S550 Mustang for the 2015 model year: the Ford Shelby GT350. This “50th Anniversary” edition featured numerous enhancements compared to the standard GT.

The highlight was the new hand-built V-8 engine with a flat-plane crankshaft, revised cylinder geometry, and an impressive 526 horsepower. Paired with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission, it delivered exhilarating performance. The GT350 also received suspension and brake upgrades, along with subtle exterior and interior changes, elevating its appeal beyond the standard GT.

A total of 137 GT350s were manufactured in 2015, consisting of 100 GT350s and 37 GT350 Rs. Among the 100 GT350s, 50 were equipped with the Tech Package, while the other 50 boasted the coveted Track Package. The Track Package offered a MagneRide damping system, RECARO seats, a raised decklid spoiler, and additional coolers for the engine, transmission, and differential.
