The fifth-generation Mustang, unveiled in 2005, reintroduced the iconic muscle car styling reminiscent of Lee Lacocca’s original design from 1965. This revival brought with it a lineup of potent powertrains capable of delivering exhilarating performance once again.
In 2011, Ford refreshed the engines, with the 3.7-liter V6 now generating 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, while GT models boasted the ‘Coyote’ 5.0-liter V8. Additionally, the Shelby GT500 and Boss 302 variants pushed the performance envelope even further. By 2013, the Mustang received its latest updates, including a larger grille, standard HID headlights, and new LEDs upfront. The V8 models were distinguished by blacked-out taillights and featured a new instrument display for premium variants along with LED fog lights.
Created for the 2014 SEMA show, this particular Mustang was modified by HyperStangs based in New Mexico with the Armageddon GT1000 Package, McLeod Racing RXT twin-disc clutch kit, 20-inch HyperStangs L/W forged wheels, HyperStangs/Eibach Strut and Shock Package, HyperStangs/SVT GT500 6-piston brake upgrade kit, HyperStangs/Shelby wide-body conversion kit, and Armageddon/KATZKIN upholstery.
With these modifications, the stock twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 engine, which initially produced 420 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, now pumps out a staggering 1,452 horsepower and 1,224 lb-ft of torque all of which are sent to the rear wheels is a 6-speed manual transmission.
