Checkout This ’67 Shelby 500 Restomod Called ‘Kendall Custom’

Danny Hoyt From MotorTrend gives us an exclusive walkaround tour on a custom ‘67 Shelby Mustang GT500, nicknamed ‘Kendall Custom’. It is a high-end restomod that combines the classic and contemporary appearance with plenty of power and performance. The stunning car was commissioned by Kendall Motor Oil as a means of supporting the charity, Curing Kids Cancer.

At the heart of the Kendall Custom project lies a profound appreciation for automotive history and innovation. The decision to choose a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 as the base vehicle was a deliberate one, rooted in its iconic status and timeless appeal. With its sleek lines and legendary performance, this model served as the perfect canvas for the transformation envisioned by Kendall Motor Oil and executed by Thompson Street Customs.

Underneath the hood, the Kendall Custom is equipped with a pair of Garrett G25 660 turbos, the Coyote engine produced over 1200 horsepower, making it a formidable force on the road. The hand-formed engine shroud and valve cover covers, bearing the Kendall logo, exemplified the attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into this project.
