Ultra-Limited 2025 Mustang Dark Horse Hennessey Super Venom to Cross the Auction Block

One of only four Dark Horse specified with the Super Venom performance package

Mecum Auctions is set to bring a highly exclusive modern muscle icon to market: a 2025 Ford Mustang Dark Horse Hennessey Super Venom, with an estimated hammer price between $160,000 and $180,000. This particular build represents one of the most limited expressions of contemporary Mustang performance, combining Ford’s track-focused Dark Horse foundation with Hennessey’s extreme performance engineering.

Only four Dark Horse-based Super Venom builds have been completed, placing this car in an ultra-narrow subset of just 91 Super Venoms produced across all donor platforms. What makes this example even more distinctive is its specification: it is the only Super Venom finished in Vapor Blue, paired with a coordinated blue interior that further underscores its collector-grade positioning.

At its core, the build revolves around Ford’s 5.0-liter Coyote V8, but Hennessey’s extensive re-engineering transforms the naturally aspirated foundation into a dramatically more aggressive forced-induction system. A forged 2.65-liter supercharger anchors the upgrade, supported by a high-flow induction system, race-calibrated fuel delivery hardware, upgraded injectors, an enhanced air pump, and a high-capacity fuel pump.

Engine management is fully recalibrated through Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) tuning, allowing the drivetrain to reliably produce an output of 850 horsepower at 7,200 rpm and 650 lb-ft of torque at 4,900 rpm. With these figures, the car is capable of sprinting from 0–60 mph in approximately 3.2 seconds and completing the quarter mile in roughly 10.9 seconds when equipped with the automatic transmission.

Beyond straight-line performance, the Super Venom package emphasizes aerodynamic efficiency and track stability through the VenomAero carbon fiber program. This includes a reshaped front splitter, a functional vented hood designed for airflow management, sculpted side skirts, fender louvers, and a carbon rear decklid.

Downforce is further reinforced by a gooseneck-style rear wing, while lightweight carbon mirror caps complete the aerodynamic suite. A set of bespoke 20-inch lightweight performance wheels with Hennessey branding supports reduced unsprung mass and improved handling response.

The interior treatment reflects the same level of exclusivity and craftsmanship. The cabin features hand-stitched leather and Alcantara upholstery, Hennessey-branded embossing across key surfaces, and a serialized engraved dash plaque marking its limited production status. Combined with its unique exterior specification, the interior reinforces the car’s position as a highly curated performance machine rather than a standard aftermarket build.

Hennessey, a Texas-based performance engineering firm that has modified more than 15,000 vehicles since its founding in 1991, designed the Super Venom program to push the seventh-generation Mustang far beyond its factory capabilities. This particular Dark Horse represents one of the most extreme executions of that philosophy, blending track-ready aerodynamics, supercharged power, and strict production scarcity into a single auction-bound package.

For collectors and performance enthusiasts, this example offered through Mecum Auctions stands as one of the most complete and aggressively engineered modern Mustangs ever produced under the Hennessey banner.
