Steeda Does Quarter-Mile Runs With A Stock 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1

Taking the GT350’s place within the 2021 Mustang lineup would be a sixth-generation Mach 1. Ultimately, the 2021 Mach 1, has proved itself every bit as worthy of carrying this storied designation, as any of the high-output pony cars of the 1960s and 70s. In its latest form, the Mach 1 features a 5.0-liter Coyote V8, paired to a six-speed manual transmission. Alternatively, consumers can opt for the purchase of a ten-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

The 2021 Mach 1 may not be as good as the Shelby GT350R performance-wise, but it’s way cheaper. It’s performance is more comparable to that of the base Mustang GT, albeit it has 20 more horsepower, better aerodynamics, and most importantly, a more aggressive overall design.

The only problem is how will it perform in the real world? Can you use it as a drag racer? These are some of the questions that our folks Steeda will answer for us. According to their claims, a stock 2021 Mustang Mach 1 can run a quarter-mile in 12.5 seconds and Ford claims that it is a superb straight-line performer.. Is that really accurate?
