Originally introduced in 2015, the Saleen S302 represented a high-performance iteration of the sixth-generation Ford Mustang. By the debut of the 2015 “S550” sixth-generation Mustang, Saleen had evolved into an original equipment manufacturer rather than solely a modifier of existing Ford vehicles.
The S302 Yellow Label boasted a substantial power increase over the standard Mustang GT, along with enhancements to suspension and brake systems. It also featured distinctive styling elements, including a Saleen-specific front fascia, grille, tail panel, rear wing, windshield banner, and badging. Additionally, it sported Heritage Blue “026” and “302” decals denoting the production number and model.
Saleen’s modifications to the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine included a twin-screw supercharger, dual intercoolers, a high-volume intercooler water pump, an oil cooler, 47-lb fuel injectors, and a PowerFlash engine calibration. Saleen rated the output at an impressive 745 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque.
