The Ford’s Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 Concept takes inspiration from the Mach-E as they both feature an all-electric powertrain. If you simply look at its name, you would expect this all-electric drag racing car to produce an astonishing 1,400 horsepower, Ford managed to squeezed more from its powertrain and is actually rated to produce over 1,500 horsepower. That is roughly the same as the total power output of three 2021 Mustang GTs equipped with a V8 engine!
Developed by Ford Performance alongside the Mustang Mach-E 1400 prototype, 2020 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 Concept showcases the company’s technological capabilities and innovative engineering expertise when it comes creating electric vehicle. The car is indeed wicked fast as it is capable of running a down a quarter mile in just 8.27 seconds!
