This 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H convertible is one of only 500 produced for that year, all initially offered exclusively as Hertz rentals. The GT-H convertible option was exclusive to the 2007 model year, and all 500 units were finished in black (UA) with gold stripes, paying homage to Hertz’s 1966 Shelby GT350-H “Rent-a-Racer” program.

Shelby Automobiles modified this car with suspension components, updated exterior styling, Pro-Cal performance calibration, an air intake, and an X-pipe exhaust system with performance mufflers. Later, it received further modifications, including a Whipple supercharger for the replaced 4.6-liter V8 engine and a Tremec five-speed manual transmission with a Hurst short-throw shifter, paired with a 3.55:1 limited-slip differential. These upgrades have reportedly boosted the car’s output to approximately 550 horsepower.
