The SVT Mustang Cobra, which began production in 1993, celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a special edition package in 2003. During that 10 years, more than 100,000 SVT vehicles had been produced, 60 percent of which were SVT Mustang Cobras.
The 10th Anniversary Package was available as either a coupe or convertible, and featured unique 17×9-inch dark argent painted anniversary wheels, red leather seating surfaces in the front and rear, interior trim with the appearance of carbon fiber, red painted brake calipers, and SVT 10th Anniversary badges on the floor mats and rear decklid.
The Anniversary SVT Cobra took modern Mustang horsepower to all-new heights with the move to a new, Eaton supercharged DOHC 4.6-liter Terminator V-8. It also featured a standard 6-speed gearbox. Just like the “regular” Cobra this was a big upgrade in the engine and performance world.
SVT produced 2,003 units of the Anniversary model, which were available in Torch Red, Black Clearcoat, and Silver Metallic.
