Mustang Of The Day: 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 “Stampede”

In 2011, GAP Racing of Houston, Texas undertook the task of transforming this 1969 Mustang Mach 1 into a one-of-a-kind custom project. The finished product, known as the Stampede, was unveiled at the Detroit Autorama in 2015 and was selected as among the finalists for the prestigious Ridler Award.

This Mustang underwent a complete overhaul, including the installation of widened carbon-fiber bodywork, a custom PPG Super Blue paint job, a Kaase Racing modified Boss 572ci V8 engine, TCI Engineering suspension with RideTech air ride and magnetorheological shocks, Wilwood big brakes, an integrated roll cage, and a fully customized seamless interior, among many other enhancements.
