The 2019 Shelby GT-S was a special edition Mustang GT, exclusively produced by Shelby American for SIXT Rent-A-Car, with a limited run of only 20 units. Each GT-S housed a modified 5.0-liter V8 engine, enhanced with a Shelby limited edition supercharger. This powerful engine was paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, custom-tailored for the GT-S model.
The GT-S also boasted a custom suspension package designed to deliver responsive handling while maintaining a comfortable ride. It was equipped with Wilwood brakes, featuring 6-piston front calipers and 4-piston rear calipers, along with drilled and slotted rotors.
Distinctively, all SIXT GT-S Mustangs were painted in the rental company’s signature orange and black colors and adorned with SIXT badging. They also featured Shelby American serial numbers, allowing them to be registered in Shelby’s official registry.
The GT-S also showcased numerous specialty body components, such as a custom hood, grille, and Shelby rocker panels, setting it apart from standard rental Mustangs. The interior was equally upgraded by Shelby American, featuring Shelby signature series upholstery, lighted door sill plates, and embroidered floor mats and headrests.
This 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-S coupe, which served as a rental in Florida for about a year, is now for sale on Bring A Trailer with 14,000 miles on the odometer. It is finished in black with orange stripes over black and orange leather.
The GT-S comes with the GT Performance Package, revised engine management software, MagneRide suspension dampers, Brembo front brake calipers, staggered-width 20″ Shelby wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, heated and ventilated front bucket seats, SYNC 3 infotainment with navigation, and a Bang & Olufsen stereo.
