Listed for auction on Bring A Trailer is a 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake 427 Limited Edition Coupe, one of only 427 models ever produced. These cars were created in conjunction with the ‘Shelby 427’ NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The ‘Shelby 427’ package was an exclusive offering by Shelby to commemorate the 2009 Shelby 427 NASCAR race at the same speedway.
The Shelby Super Snake package introduced several enhancements, including a fiberglass hood with pins, sequential taillights, side scoops, front and rear brake ducts, a carbon-fiber front splitter and rocker panels, and special badging. To distinguish the limited-edition 427 models, they featured unique body stripes and badging.
This particular example is finished in Alloy Metallic with black stripes and boasts features like fog lights, hood vents, a rear spoiler, Shelby badging, and polished exhaust outlets. Its stance is accentuated by staggered-width forged alloy Shelby Alcoa 20″ wheels wrapped in Pirelli PZero tires (255/35 up front and 275/35 at the rear). The Super Snake package also brings along four-wheel Baer disc brakes with six-piston calipers and an Eibach coilover suspension.
Inside the cabin, you’ll find sport bucket seats upholstered in Dark Charcoal leather, featuring embossed Shelby Cobra logos on the backrests and Shelby 427 embroidery on the headrests. The interior is equipped with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Shaker 500 sound system, a CD stereo, Shelby 427 floor mats, Super Snake embroidery on the armrest, cruise control, and air conditioning.
Under the hood, the vehicle is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V8 that was fitted with a Kenne Bell supercharger by Shelby Automobiles. It also sports a Borla cat-back exhaust system, resulting in a factory-rated output of 725 horsepower. This formidable power is channeled to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
This Shelby GT500 with just 481 miles on the odometer, comes with a window sticker, a certificate of authenticity, accompanying accessories, factory literature, partial service records, spare components, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title.
