Can A 2014 Ford Mustang GT Keep Up With A Brand New Nissan Z In A Drag Race?

After a long absence, Nissan has finally released the latest version in its Z line. It has been praised for delivering some of the best driving experiences at a relatively low price. However, it faces significant competition from a 2014 Ford Mustang GT.

The Nissan Z, with a curb weight of 3,500 lbs, is approximately 200 lbs lighter than the Mustang GT. The Mustang GT boasts 460 hp from a 5.0-liter V8 engine, while the Z’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine generates 400 horsepower.

Later in the video, the Nissan Z was tested against a sports car from Germany, a Porsche 911 Targa 4S. The Targa 4S produces 443 bhp @ 6500 rpm from a six-cylinder, 3.0-litre boxer engine with twin turbochargers, and puts it to the road via an eight-speed PDK and Stuttgart’s refined all-wheel-drive system.

The team at The Fast Lane Car YouTube channel recently conducted tests on these both cars, pitting them against each other to determine which one is the faster sports car. Watch the video to see how this drag race went down!
