Three relatively low-mileage Mustangs are currently on offer at Bring A Trailer: a 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra, a 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-C 5-Speed, and a 2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Coupe.
1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra
This SVT Cobra is finished in black and is equipped with a revised rear spoiler, bumper covers, and unique badging that sets it apart from the contemporary Mustang GT. Other exterior features include fog lamps, sunroof, and dual polished exhaust outlets.
The example sits on directional 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels wrapped in 245/45 BFGoodrich Comp-2 A/S tires. Power-assisted disc brakes and rack-and-pinion steering came as standard.
For the interior, it has articulated sport seats and a 50/50 split-folding rear seat upholstered in Opal Grey leather. Other interior comfort features include the power-adjustable lumbar support on the front seats, Premium CD stereo, Preferred Equipment Package specified air conditioning, as well as power windows, door locks, and mirrors.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel sits in front of the instrument cluster which houses a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and other gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage, and fuel level. Powering the 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra is a 5.0-liter OHV Vv8 engine which features Cobra-specific upper intake manifold and camshaft, GT40 cast-iron cylinder heads, a 65mm throttle body, and aluminum roller rockers. It has a factory-rated output of 235 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque when new.
A five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok rear differential sends power to the rear wheels. The sale will come with a Ford Special Vehicle Team Certificate which identifies the example as #4,423 out of 4,993 units built, with a production date of June 11, 1993.
No accidents or other damage was revealed in the Carfax report though it should be noted that there are some dings on various locations.
This 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-C example is finished in Grabber Orange with silver stripes. Exterior features include a billet grille insert, hood scoop, side scoops, revised valances, hood hold-down pins, Shelby trunk lid lettering, dual-exhaust outlets, and HID headlights. As part of the GT Upfitters package, the rear spoiler was removed.
It sits on polished five-spoke 18-inch aluminum wheels with pony center caps wrapped in BFGoodrich G-Force T/A tires with 2007 production date codes. The Shelby GT package gave it a lowered springs, high-performance dampers, and larger front and rear sway bars.
Interior features include seats upholstered in Dark Charcoal leather that matches with the door panels and carpets, while the dashboard was given satin aluminum trim accents. Comfort features in this Shelby GT-C include power-adjustable driver’s seat, white shift knob, Hurst short-throw shifter, Shelby GT-branded aluminum doorsill plates, Shaker 500 CD stereo, and air conditioning. Seller claims that Carroll Shelby signed the sun visor.
The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and frames an instrument cluster with a 145-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. It has a digital odometer that shows an extremely low mileage of 1,100 miles which were all added during current ownership. On the dashboard is a commemorative plaque displaying the serial number 08SGT0167.
Under the hood is a 4.6-liter V8 engine with a 90mm cold-air intake and Pro-Cal engine management software. When new and in Shelby GT specification, it was factory rated at 319 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. A Shelby plaque is placed on the radiator support and a Ford Racing front strut tower brace spans the engine bay.
A five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.55:1 gearing sends power to the rear wheels, while the Shelby GT package adds a high-flow exhaust system with an X-pipe and Ford Racing mufflers.
No accidents or other damage is listed in the Carfax report though there is a note for a manufacturer safety recall for the passenger airbag back in 2008.
This 2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Coupe is finished in black with huge Medium Red stripes from the grille to the rear, matched with side stripes and GT500 lettering. Exterior features are HID headlights, hood vents, fog lights, Shelby badging, rear spoiler with a Gurney flap, and stainless-steel quad exhaust outlets.
It is mounted on a staggered-diameter 19-inch and 20-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in 265/40 front and 285/35 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The example is also equipped with four-wheel disc brakes with Brembo front calipers and an SVT-tuned suspension.
For the interior, it has heated front sport bucket seats wrapped in Charcoal Black leather with red racing stripe inserts and the Shelby Cobra logo embossed on the backrests. Comfort features include a CD stereo linked to a Shaker sound system, SYNC infotainment with a 4.2-inch LCD screen, and cruise control. It was also given an optional Electronics Package which equipped it with a dual-zone climate control and navigation system.
The multifunction steering wheel is wrapped in leather and suede and frames a 220-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. It also has a digital odometer that shows a mileage of 7k miles.
Under the hood is a supercharged 5.8-liter Trinity V8 engine which was factory rated at 662 hp and 631 lb-ft of torque. It is matched to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential with 3.73:1 gearing that sends power to the rear wheels.
As part of the SVT Performance Package, this example was installed with aerodynamic underbody covers, and was factory equipped with a carbon-fiber driveshaft.
No accidents or any other damage is seen in the Carfax report. It also showed a one-owner history in Washington State, and the listen lien has already been released.
