Now available on Bring a Trailer, this 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby Super Snake represents a particularly rare and highly equipped interpretation of the modern American muscle car. Originally ordered from Pierre Ford in Seattle by former IMSA, Trans Am, and NASCAR driver John Young, the coupe now shows just 8,000 miles and combines supercharged V8 performance with an exceptionally uncommon widebody configuration.
Finished in Oxford White, the car features silver over-the-top racing stripes and matching lower-body graphics, giving the Super Snake a classic Shelby-inspired appearance. Reportedly one of only four widebody examples produced for the 2019 model year, it is distinguished by widened front fenders and rear quarter panels that create a considerably more aggressive stance.
The exterior also incorporates a collection of Super Snake-specific components, including revised front and rear valances, a dual-intake ram-air hood, carbon-fiber mirror caps, a rear spoiler, Shelby grille, front splitter, rear diffuser, and distinctive taillight panel. Forged 20-inch Shelby American wheels complete the look and are wrapped in massive Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 305/30 at the front and 345/30 at the rear.
Underneath, Shelby’s upgrades extend well beyond appearance. The car is equipped with a Shelby Performance track-handling suspension, factory MagneRide dampers, and a high-performance Brembo braking system featuring red six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers over slotted rotors. Front brake cooling ducts were also included as part of the Super Snake package.
Inside, the black leather cabin features heated and ventilated front bucket seats with perforated microsuede inserts and embroidered Shelby Super Snake branding. Engine-turned dashboard trim, Shelby-branded sill plates, a Ford Performance short-throw shifter, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, and Ford’s 8-inch SYNC 3 infotainment system provide a mix of performance-focused and modern amenities.
The centerpiece is the 5.0-liter Coyote V8, enhanced with a polished Whipple supercharger, performance intake, billet throttle body, upgraded fuel injectors, Shelby Extreme Cooling System, aluminum heat exchanger, and Shelby-tuned Borla variable exhaust. Shelby rated the combination at an impressive 835 horsepower when new.
Power is delivered exclusively to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential.
