2022 Ford Mustang Mach 1 vs 2023 Nissan Z vs 2022 Toyota GR Supra 3.0

Can a Ford Mustang Mach 1 compete against the new Nissan Z and a Toyota Supra in a straight line race? Luckily for us, we have the folks from Hagerty on YouTube take care of that for us as they lined up these three $50,000 sports cars in a series of drag races to see which is one faster.

The Ford Mustang Mach 1 stands out as the heaviest but most potent contender in the lineup. With a weight of 3,850 lbs, it delivers a maximum output of 480 hp and 420 lb-ft, transmitted to the wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission.

In contrast, the 2023 Nissan Z falls in the middle in terms of both weight and power, boasting a maximum output of 400 hp and a peak torque of 350 lb-ft. The Performance model, weighing 3,610 lbs, is equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission and Launch Control.

Toyota’s cherished GR Supra 3.0 takes a lighter approach, hitting the strip with 382 hp of maximum output and 368 lb-ft of peak torque. Despite being the least powerful among the three, it weighs the least at 3,350 lbs, and its power is directed to the wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
