I’ve been a Ford person since working on my 32 3 window coupe w/ 58 Olds J2 and 3 duces plus a Lincoln Deployed tranny. It had run the Bonneville Salt Flats and set a record for its’class. Got many tickets test driving after working on it, to get it running right and, became great friends with two policemen that wrote the “no drivers license” tickets!” Now, 66 years later I have a 2004 40th Anniversary model Mustang gt 4.6L Sonic Blue Pearl which is proving my wife’s high school boyfriend (a Chevy man) that “Ford meant (F)ix (o)r (r)epair (d)aily.” With the things that have happened since buying the Mustang I’ve almost come to agree with him. We both were courting my current wife of 55+ years and I luckily won her hand after Troy Donahue picked her as Most Beautiful of her Senior High School class. Now, back to my problems with the gt. The things I’ ve had to do is; Change the Crank and cam position sensors, test and replace numerous fuses connected with cranking it, had the wiring professionally traced for shorts, been stranded twice when the car refused to refrain after shutting down while driving. The last time my wife was driving it alone and broke down on a very busy 4 lane in town. She had to stand by directing traffic around the car with a lot of very discourse our drivers in 112° heat index weather! Don’t think she will ever drive it alone again. Now, it is relegated to sitting in the garage and after having it towed.
