Canada got its own special Mustang in 1967 and it was commonly known as the “Third Birthday Treat” (isn’t that cute).
In April 1967 a total of 3,112 “Third Birthday Treat” Mustang hardtops were built and sold. It came with louvered hood, white sidewall tires and was available in only one of three colors (Candyapple Red, Springtime Yellow, or Thunderbird Diamond Green). The cars also got wheel lip moldings, knitted black vinyl interior, door edge guards, rocker panel trim, and deluxe wheel covers. Packaging wise, these cars were very similar to the Sports Sprint specials.
