In the Mustang's long history, there have been 45 gray colored Mustang options across 20 unique gray color names. The first gray colored Mustang was Silver Smoke Gray in the Mustang's first year. Perhaps the most famous gray shade Mustang is Eleanor Gray, from the 1967 modified Shelby GT500 used by the 2000 movie "Gone in Sixty Seconds". In 1979, there was a cool set of gray Pewter Indianapolis 500 Pace Car replicas offered for sale. The best gray Mustang colors for me have been recent gray colors. Avalanche Gray was only available two years in 2016 and 2017, and only on the Shelby GT350. It is not metallic or flat but a shiny clearcoat. Lead Foot gray is the other recent Mustang grey that I love and was only available on the 2018 Shelby GT350.
