With over 25 year after the 2000 release of Gone in 60 Seconds, the iconic Eleanor Mustang remains one of the most recognizable modern movie cars. While countless replicas have been assembled using aftermarket body kits, this 1967 Ford Mustang fastback stands apart as an officially licensed Eleanor Tribute edition, complete with certification documentation, a body VIN plate, and Eleanor emblems issued by Gone in 60 Seconds LLC, which controls the vehicle’s licensing rights. Now offered on Bring a Trailer, the car was constructed by Brand New Muscle Car in Tulsa, Oklahoma, specifically as a licensed tribute to the film’s famous star car.
Under its sculpted Eleanor-inspired bodywork is a heavily modified performance platform. The car uses a small-block-based 427-cubic-inch stroker V8 producing a claimed 550 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque. The engine combines aluminum cylinder heads, a roller camshaft, ceramic-coated headers, and an eight-stack electronic fuel-injection system. A Concept One serpentine accessory drive and aluminum radiator with dual electric fans support the powerplant, while a NOS bottle and Optima Yellow Top battery are installed in the trunk.
Power reaches the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear axle equipped with a limited-slip differential and 3.70:1 gearing. The chassis has been comprehensively upgraded with independent front suspension, power rack-and-pinion steering, a four-link rear arrangement, and adjustable coilovers at all four corners. Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes provide the stopping power.
The exterior faithfully interprets Eleanor’s signature appearance. The reproduction body is finished in Pepper Grey with black over-the-top stripes and features a domed hood with exposed fasteners, center-mounted PIAA fog lamps, side-exit exhaust outlets, bullet-style mirrors, a polished fuel filler cap, rear spoiler, and sequential taillights. Seventeen-inch American Racing wheels with faux three-eared spinners are fitted with Nitto NT555 tires.
Inside, the fastback combines movie-inspired styling with modern amenities. Black leather covers the front buckets and folding rear bench, while brushed aluminum accents extend across the dashboard, doors, and center console. A billet shifter carries the familiar “Go Baby Go” knob, while a Carroll Shelby signature and Gone in 60 Seconds emblem add period-themed character.
Comfort and technology include air conditioning, G-Force front harnesses, TCP aluminum pedal pads, and a Kenwood touchscreen navigation system with Apple CarPlay. A woodgrain steering wheel sits ahead of Classic Instruments gauges, including a 200-mph speedometer, 10,000-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary displays. Two Alpine 10-inch subwoofers are mounted behind the cabin.
Combining authentic licensing, cinematic provenance, extensive mechanical upgrades, and unmistakable Eleanor styling, this Mustang represents far more than another movie-car replica. It is a professionally built, documented tribute designed to capture the visual drama and performance character that made Eleanor an enduring automotive icon.
