FOR SALE: 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback “Vendetta”

Custom built for the 2013 SEMA show

Now listed on Bring a Trailer, this extraordinary 1965 Ford Mustang fastback, known as “Vendetta,” stands as a showcase of modern engineering and custom craftsmanship. Originally created for the 2013 SEMA Show, the vehicle was designed by Gary Ragle and meticulously constructed by Scott’s Hotrods ‘N Customs, transforming the classic Mustang into a high-performance restomod with award-worthy presentation and impressive mechanical credentials.

Power comes from a Roush 427IR crate V8 based on a reinforced 351-cubic-inch iron block. The engine features forged internals, CNC-ported aluminum cylinder heads, a hydraulic roller camshaft, and a striking eight-stack electronic fuel-injection system.

Performance is further enhanced by a Richmond five-speed manual transmission equipped with a McLeod clutch, which channels power to a narrowed Moser 9-inch rear axle featuring 33-spline axles and a 3.70:1 limited-slip differential. A custom dual exhaust system fitted with Coffin mufflers completes the drivetrain package.

The all-metal fastback body underwent extensive modifications, including a chopped roof, raked windshield, integrated quarter windows, and custom front-end treatment. Shaved and tucked bumpers contribute to the car’s clean, streamlined appearance, while the white exterior finish is accented by a black center stripe outlined in red. A color-matched taillight panel further enhances the cohesive design.

Underneath, the Mustang rides on a purpose-built tubular chassis incorporating a Mustang II-style independent front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, tubular control arms, a Moser triangulated four-link rear suspension, and adjustable Aldan American coilovers. Wilwood six-piston front and four-piston rear brake calipers paired with 14-inch slotted rotors provide substantial stopping capability, while staggered Billet Specialties Rail wheels measure 18 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear.

Inside, the custom cabin combines race-inspired elements with modern technology. Features include TMI bucket seats, Crow harnesses, a six-point roll bar, Speedhut instrumentation, dual touchscreen displays, power-operated accessories, Vintage Air climate control, and an Alpine multimedia system.

The result is a meticulously engineered Mustang that successfully merges classic fastback styling with contemporary performance and comfort, making it one of the most distinctive custom builds currently available on sale.
