Just when you think Ford Mustang sales have peaked for the Summer they go off and throw an 18% increase from the previous month in your face. Yes I was wrong to assume sales would just peter off at the end of the Summer, yes I just said that so don’t giggle. Mustang Sales increased over 1500 units for August and came within a few units of breaking five figures again this year. Its a strong showing for the 2015 Mustang as Ford’s overall sales hit the highest levels in 9 years.

Sales of the Ford Mustang for August of 2015 were 9,997 compared to 5,878 from August of 2014 showing a 70.1% increase in sales from the previous year. Year to date Mustang sales are 86,769 compared to 56,673 for 2014, which is a 53.1% increase from the previous year.
Month to Month sales were up as July 2015 sales were 8,482 compared to August sales of 9,997 which is a 18% decrease.
Taking a look at the competition, the Chevrolet Camaro sold 6,236 units and the Dodge Challenger sold 5,235 units for August.
