Orders are now open for the Mustang Dark Horse SC, delivering 795 horsepower and 660 lb.-ft. of torque, making it the most powerful Dark Horse yet. Built with race-derived engineering, it pushes performance well beyond the standard model while remaining more accessible than the flagship GTD.
Performance & Powertrain
A supercharged 5.2-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission delivers explosive acceleration and precise shifting. Inspired by GT3 and GTD programs, it combines raw power with a signature V8 soundtrack.
Chassis, Suspension & Handling
Upgrades include next-gen MagneRide dampers, stiffer springs, revised stabilizers, and improved suspension geometry. Lightweight forged components and a magnesium strut brace enhance steering feel and reduce weight, resulting in sharper, more controlled handling.
Track Pack Enhancements
The optional Track Pack adds carbon-fiber wheels, bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, and a dedicated suspension setup. Adjustable traction control allows drivers to fine-tune grip for various driving conditions, pushing performance closer to supercar levels.
Braking System
Standard Brembo brakes provide strong stopping power, while the Track Pack introduces carbon-ceramic brakes for reduced weight and improved heat resistance, enhancing track endurance.
Aerodynamics & Cooling
Revised aerodynamics include a redesigned front fascia, vented hood, rear diffuser, and underbody panels. The Track Pack adds a ducktail rear decklid and carbon-fiber wing, producing up to 620 pounds of rear downforce at high speeds.
Interior & Customization
The cabin features a flat-bottom steering wheel, Alcantara, and carbon-fiber accents. Optional Recaro seats and multiple color and trim packages allow extensive personalization, including special edition variants with unique styling details.
Pricing
The Dark Horse SC firmly enters six-figure territory:
- Base model starts at $108,485
- Track Pack version rises to $144,985
- Limited Track Pack Special Edition tops out at $175,965
This positions it significantly above the standard Dark Horse and closer to premium European sports cars. The Dark Horse SC bridges the gap between the standard Dark Horse and the GTD, bringing race-inspired performance and technology into a more attainable—though still premium—package.
