1967 Ford Mustang Centennial Sports Sprint Special
Nebraska 1967 Centennial Special Sport Sprint Mustang Hardtop
To celebrate Nebraska’s 100th anniversary, the Ford dealerships in the state decided to offer a special Mustang to consumers. It was known as the Nebraska 1967 Centennial Special Sport Sprint Mustang Hardtop (trying saying that fast five times in a row). You will see in the ads below that the model is based on the Sports Sprint model.
The addition of the Nebraska Centennial medallion and upgraded Mustang hardtop which included one of four special order exterior paints: Centennial Blue, Lincoln Green, Summer Wheat, or Big Red were unique in the Centennial cars.
The Sport Sprint already got the upgraded 6-cylinder engine and other enhancements so it was a nice package. A V8 upgrade package was also available in the Sport Sprint too, but I am not sure how many of the Centennial Special Sport Sprint cars had that option.
