For the second year in a row WD-40 is partnering with SEMA’s charity arm, SEMA Cares to build a custom one-off vehicle to debut at the 2010 SEMA show and this year they have chosen a 2011 Ford Mustang GT to modify. The one-of-a-kind WD-40/SEMA Cares Mustang GT 5.0 will feature a familiar WD-40 paint scheme, custom body kit from Street Scene Equipment, Stillen AP racing six-piston brake kit, Forgeline wheels and a Paxton supercharger system. The addition of the Paxton supercharger to the already potent 5.0-liter V-8 will increase power output to 600 horsepower.
Once finished the WD-40/SEMA Cares Mustang will be shown at the 2010 SEMA show from November 2-5 along with appearing at various auto-related events on the west coast. After it has made the rounds on the auto show circuit it will be auctioned at the 2011 Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale, Arizona on January 17-23. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Childhelp and the Victory Junction Gang Camp children’s charities.
