Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s Carbon Fiber RTR-C Mustang at SEMA

One of the more impressive Mustangs at this years SEMA show was drift racer Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s all-carbon fiber RTR-C Mustang.  The carbon fiber body panels on the 2010 Mustang GT were the real thing as I got an up close and personal look at them.  Every square inch of the exterior of the RTR-C Mustang was covered with carbon fiber and even the Sparco seats on the inside were made of carbon fiber.  Replacing the body panels with carbon fiber shed about 400-500 pounds off the Mustang.  Some weight was added back with the addition of the supercharger, brake kit and headers.  The total curb weight of the car is said to be 3,350 pounds. The RTR-C Mustang also features RTR badges, HRE wheels and a rear seat delete covered in leather.  Production will be limited to just 10 units and the price is $135,000, better get your accountant on the phone.  Check out the photos I snapped of the RTR-C Mustang below. Enjoy…
