Ford Dealership Remote Starts Customer’s Mustang Into Pond

mustangpond

Put this in the category of things you don’t see everyday as a Ford Dealership employee remote started a customer’s 5-speed Mustang GT and than watched as it drove itself through a parking spot, under a chain link fence and into a pond where it sank to the bottom.  This was the story the Mustang owner got as he went to pick up his ride from the dealership after warranty work was supposed to be completed.

Now you are probably asking yourself why would have a remote starter on a 5-speed manual transmission in the first place.  The only answer for that is because you can and as the story goes the Mustang owner used an aftermarket remote starter that bypassed the clutch and would even start the car if it was in gear.

Check out the photos below to see the Mustang GT after the swim.
