FOR SALE: Custom 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback

Bring A Trailer is currently offering a unique 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback that underwent a refurbishment and customization in 2021 by Shines Customs of Dandridge, Tennessee. The project aimed to make the classic muscle car distinctively different, combining features from an original 1967 Shelby GT500 and GT500E “Eleanor”.

The car garnered multiple awards such as Corvette Expo “Hot Pick” in 2021, Mustang Club of Tampa “Best of Show Modified” and “Best in Class” in 2021, and Mustang Club of Tampa “Best Paint” in 2022. In 2022, the car also appeared in three magazines, namely Cruise News, Street Scene, and Mustang Hub.

During the refurbishment, the car’s body was detached from the frame and replaced with new sheet metal. The custom modifications included the installation of a Shelby-style hood with a scoop, a fabricated grille, integrated front and rear spoilers, and lower bodywork. The exterior was finished in a combination of Randy Apple Red with Dark Chocolate over-the-top stripes and white pinstriping.

The car boasts various other exterior features such as Ringbrothers carbon-fiber front valance, LED lighting, and remote keyless entry. It rides on ten-spoke 18″ and 20″ Schott wheels with Continental Extreme Contact tires and has a B Rod or Custom full chassis with adjustable RideTech coilovers, SPC Performance adjustable front upper control arms, and a triangulated four-bar rear suspension setup.

Inside, the car has powered front bucket seats, folding rear seats, and door panels upholstered in black and brown leather with contrasting stitching and brass rivets. The floors are lined with sound-deadening material and black carpet, and a Vintage Air climate control panel, a Hurst shifter, and cupholders occupy the center console.

The dashboard is adorned with brushed-aluminum trim, and a Kenwood touchscreen head unit with navigation and Apple CarPlay compatibility is connected to a Rockford Fosgate trunk-mounted amplifier and dual subwoofers. The cabin also features a leather-wrapped Billet Specialties steering wheel mounted on an Ididit tilt column and Dakota Digital instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges.

Under the hood, the car has a second-generation 5.0-liter Coyote V8 crate engine from Ford Performance with a Borla Eight Stack fuel injection kit, Holley HP EFI system, and Vintage Air Front Runner accessory drive system. The hood has custom graphics bead-rolled into it and is held open by black-finished Ringbrothers aluminum hinges.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission with a Quick Time bellhousing and connected to a Dynotech driveshaft and a Currie 9” TwinTrac rear end with 31 spline axles and 3.70 gears.
