To celebrate Carroll Shelby’s 98th birthday, Shelby American produced only 98 coupe examples of the 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby Super Snake, and this particular car is one of them. It is finished in Race Red over black leather and is equipped with various features including 20″ forged aluminum wheels, Brembo brakes, a Borla exhaust system, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Under the hood is a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 825 horsepower and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additionally, the Super Snake package includes a Shelby Performance Track Handling Suspension and Brembo brakes with six-piston calipers in the front, four-piston calipers in the back, and slotted rotors at all four corners. Brake cooling ducts are also present to provide airflow for the front calipers.
The Race Red finish on the car is accented by black vinyl over-the-top stripes and Super Snake lower door graphics. The exterior features of the car include a dual intake ram-air steel hood, aluminum front fenders, a rear wing, and louvered rear quarter windows. The Shelby-specific grille, chin splitter, rear diffuser, fascias, spoilers, and taillight panels are also notable exterior details.
Inside the car, the cabin features black leather heated and cooled front bucket seats with perforated microsuede inserts and embroidered Shelby logos on the backrests. The engine-turned dashboard trim, Super Snake-embroidered floor mats, dual-zone automatic climate control, 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system with navigation are additional amenities that make the car even more desirable.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a digital instrument cluster that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,400-rpm redline, and a central multifunction display. The dashboard also houses auxiliary gauges in a carbon-fiber pod. The digital odometer indicates only 795 miles, making this car a true gem.
