As the track-focused, high-performance version of Ford’s new-generation Mustang, this 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R represents a significant leap from its iconic 1960s predecessor. Power comes from Ford’s 5.2L Voodoo V-8 engine, featuring a flat-plane crank and a Ferrari-like 8,000 RPM redline.
With a wailing exhaust note to match, the Voodoo engine produces 526 HP, making it Ford’s most powerful naturally aspirated production engine to date. Power is sent through a lightweight Tremec TR-3160 6-speed manual transmission and a 3.73:1 Torsen limited-slip differential. Performance is impressive, with a 0-60 MPH time of 4.3 seconds and a quarter-mile in 12.5 seconds at 117 MPH. The GT350R also boasts 0.98 G of lateral acceleration and can brake from 70 MPH to 0 in just 152 feet.
This GT350R, listed on Bring A Trailer with just 578 miles, is finished in Oxford White with an Ebony cloth and Miko suede interior.
