Now offered through Bring a Trailer, this 1967 Ford Mustang fastback pays homage to one of the most recognizable movie cars in modern automotive culture: the “Eleanor” Mustang featured prominently in the 2000 film Gone in 60 Seconds. More than two decades after the movie’s release, Eleanor-inspired Mustangs continue to command attention among collectors, enthusiasts, and casual observers. While many replicas are assembled using commercially available aftermarket components, this particular example is a substantially engineered tribute built by Ikonic Concepts in 2025.
Identified as serial number four of a planned 60-car production run, the Mustang is configured as a GT500E “Eleanor” 25th Anniversary Edition tribute. Its centerpiece is a supercharged 5.2-liter Ford Predator V8, paired with a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and connected to a 3.55:1 rear axle. The engine is managed by an OBR control unit and custom calibration, with output claimed to exceed 880 horsepower. Supporting hardware includes a PWR aluminum radiator and billet hinges.
The exterior has been comprehensively transformed to capture the aggressive proportions of the film-inspired design. Hand-fabricated steel wheel arches reportedly extend seven inches beyond the stock body, while an Eleanor-style body kit and widebody flares provide additional visual width. The Pepper Grey Metallic finish is contrasted by black stripes, while an app-controlled LED lighting system incorporates projection lamps capable of displaying the film logo beneath the side skirts.
Underneath, the Mustang receives a thoroughly upgraded chassis designed to support its substantial performance potential. A Mustang II-style front suspension incorporates tubular control arms, rack-and-pinion steering, Total Control Products adjustable coilovers, and a sway bar. At the rear, a four-link arrangement employs a Watt’s linkage and TCP adjustable coilovers. Subframe connectors increase structural rigidity, while the underside has been refinished to complement the exterior. Stopping power comes from Baer 15-inch disc brakes with red-finished calipers. The car also features an electro-hydraulic power-steering system and 20-inch wheels fitted with staggered Continental ExtremeContact tires and faux knock-off center caps.
The cabin combines modern functionality with movie-inspired styling. Custom seats feature embroidered film-logo detailing and are complemented by four-point harnesses, while a roll bar adds a motorsport-oriented character. Equipment includes power locks, remote entry, power windows, air conditioning, Dynamat insulation, and a Bluetooth-capable audio system feeding a 1,600-watt amplifier, Kicker component speakers, and 10-inch subwoofers. The driver faces a carbon-style steering wheel, tilt column, drilled TCP pedals, Hurst shifter, and Classic Instruments gauges. The odometer shows just 260 miles. An Eleanor-style sofa is also included with the sale, further reinforcing the car’s connection to its cinematic inspiration.
Rather than simply reproducing the appearance of the famous movie Mustang, this anniversary tribute combines period Mustang architecture with extensively upgraded suspension, braking, drivetrain, electronics, and interior systems. As one of only 60 planned examples—and number four in the sequence—it represents a particularly elaborate interpretation of the Eleanor formula.
