A Look Back Through 60 Years Of Special Editions

With the 60th Anniversary Mustang set to hit the roads in just a few short months, it made us here at MustangSpecs wonder: What were some of the best or most important special editions of our favorite pony car and why are they significant?

Before we dive into the list, we really should define what a special edition is, at least in our minds. To us, a special edition has to have three things going for it to make it: Unique and/or exclusive features/colors, small numbers produced, and most importantly are an entire car as a whole. For that last one, what we are meaning is that while there may be “limited edition” paint choices for specific model years, they are not exclusive to just that car. In effecet, a special edition would have its own paint color code that you cannot have applied to any normal Mustang.
