A few details about the 2014 Mustang have been posted over on TheMustangSource forums with the most newsworthy being the addition of two new colors and a new appearance package for the GT and V6 models.  The two new colors include Ruby Red (RR) which will be replacing Red Candy (RZ) and Oxford White (YZ) will be replaceing Performance White (HP).  The color Ruby Red is new for the 2014 Mustang but Oxford White makes a return as it was last offered on the 2001-04 Mustangs.

No details about what is being offered on the V6 and GT appearance packages but we do know the option to order them is there.  For the Mustang V6 you can still order a Pony Package and the MCA edition.  Another interesting bit of information is the exclusion of the Boss 302 and Laguna Seca models in the ordering system.  Ford could have left those details out of the ordering system or they are limiting production to just two years.

Also listed in the ordering system is the GT/CS which will continue but only in limited colors including Deep Impact Blue, Race Red, Black, Sterling Gray, Ingot Silver and Oxford White.  For the GT500 matte black stripes will be replaced by gloss black stripes.

Order banks for the 2014 Ford Mustang open on November 12, 2012.  Production of the 2013 Mustang is scheduled to end on January 11, 2013 with 2014 Mustang production begining sometime after that.

Below is a photo of the color Ruby Red on a 2013 Ford Edge.
