In 1995, the convertible Cobra had a standard production.  All were black in color with black leather interior.  Available on the convertible was the removable hardtop.  Originally suppose to be on the 1994 convertible, the removable hardtop was an $1,825 option which 500 came with.

SVT also produced 250 race ready Cobra "R" models in 1995.  Carrying a 5.8L 300 horsepower engine with 365 ft/lbs. torque, the Cobra "R" model produced 60 more horsepower than the standard Cobra.  The Tremec 5-speed transmission was used instead of the standard Cobra's Borg-Warner T5 unit.  The only color available on the Cobra "R" model was white, and it not not have air conditioning, rear seat, radio, power windows/locks/mirrors, sound insulation or fog lights.
