Video: 2013 Shelby GT500 ‘Durability Car’ auctioned for $300,000

The hammer went down Saturday night in Scottsdale, Arizona at the 2012 Barrett-Jackson Collector car auction with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation coming out the winner as the 2013 Shelby GT500 ‘Durability Car’ sold for $300,000.  All proceeds from the Shelby GT500 ‘Durability Car’ auction will benefit JDRF.

The winner of the auction was none other than Ron Pratte who has won a number of auctions in the  past for Shelby’s vehicles.  Along with taking home the ‘Durability Car’, Ron will also have the opportunity to purchase the first 2013 Shelby GT500.  Watch the prototype GT500 auction below courtesy of the SPEED channel.
