Shelby American has announced its plans for 2013 and according to them its going to be an exciting time with lots of new things coming down the pipeline. First of those is a new Widebody kit for all 2005-2009 Ford Mustangs including the V6, GT and Shelby GT500 models. The widebody kit will add around 6-inches of tire space to the rear of the car and 3-inches of tire space to the front. The widebody panels will be constructed of high-quality fiberglass to keep the weight down.
The top widebody package will consist of front and rear quarter panels, front wheels (20″x10″ – 265/35/20) and rear wheels (20″x13″ – 345/35/20). The package price will set you back an MSRP of $17,995. Not a cheap package but than again there is a good amount of labor involved to build the widebody panels.
I would expect to see these vehicles at one of the upcoming shows in Detroit or New York. Check out some high-res photos below.
