At this years SEMA show Todd and Stephanie Foust’s 1965 Mustang Convertible dubbed ‘Black Diamond’ will be on display after winning an invitation through a Royal Purple sponsored ‘Show it Off at SEMA’ contest. They won the opportunity to show off their custom built car after winning a round of online voting and then being selected by a panel of judges. Two winners were chosen with the other being a 1970 Custom Road Runner.
Both vehicles will be on display in the Royal Purple booth. This years show takes place October 30 – November 2 in Las Vegas.
The ‘Black Diamond’ Custom Mustang was built by Classic Restorations of Southern Indiana. The Mustang is powered by a Ford Racing Boss 374 by Demon SixShooter mated to a Ford AODE by Bowler Performance. Front end suspension is a modified Total Control Products (TCP) Coil-Overs & Power Rack & Pinion wit the rear-end being 9″ with TCP G-link & Coil-Overs & Anti-Roll Bar.
Keeping this Mustang under control will be no small task so they opted for a set of one-off Forgeline wheels with custom center locks and BF Goodrich tires. Stopping this beast will be equally tough so they enlisted the help of Wilwood for the brakes, Front 13″ and Rear 12″. The interior was done by Cutter’s Custom Stitchin’ and Custom Millwork provided by C. Cook Enterprises.
