The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 marked a major turning point for modern Mustang performance, pairing a hand-built supercharged V8 with a dual-clutch transmission and sophisticated chassis hardware. This exceptionally low-mileage example, currently listed on Bring a Trailer, is distinguished by the coveted “Golden Ticket” configuration, combining the Carbon Fiber Track Pack with painted over-the-top stripes.
Originally delivered to Theodore Robins Ford in Costa Mesa, California, the GT500 has accumulated just 776 miles. Its Magnetic Metallic exterior is complemented by Shadow Black stripes, a louvered hood, HID headlights, sequential LED taillights, and carbon-fiber 20-inch wheels. The Track Pack also adds front splitter wickers and a manually adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing, emphasizing the car’s circuit-oriented engineering.
The exposed carbon-fiber wheels wear 305/30 front and 315/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Behind them are six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo calipers with two-piece ventilated rotors. Four-wheel independent suspension, MagneRide adaptive damping, and adjustable strut-top mounts further separate this specification from a conventional GT500.
Inside, Recaro seats combine Ebony leather and Miko suede, while the Carbon Fiber Track Pack deletes the rear seats to reduce weight. Carbon-fiber trim, an 8-inch SYNC 3 touchscreen, Ford Track Apps, and a configurable 12-inch instrument cluster reinforce its performance focus. The Technology Package adds navigation, blind-spot monitoring, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
At the heart of the GT500 is Ford’s 5.2-liter Predator V8, factory rated at 760 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque. Its inverted Roots-type supercharger, air-to-liquid intercooler, engine oil cooler, and individually signed engine-builder plaque highlight its specialized construction. Power reaches the rear wheels through a Tremec seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential with 3.73:1 gearing. An active dual exhaust with quad polished outlets completes the package.
With exceptionally low mileage and one of the GT500’s most desirable factory option combinations, this Golden Ticket example captures the engineering philosophy that made the 2020 Shelby GT500 a landmark in modern Mustang performance.
