The 2.3L EcoBoost 4 Engine
The EcoBoost 2.3L is a turbocharged four-cylinder engine used to power compact, midsize and full-size cars, pickup trucks and utility vehicles and work in strict countries with tight emissions standards. Featuring a dual overhead cam (DOHC) design, in an inline configuration, the Ford EcoBoost 2.3L architecture is derived from the Mazda L engine and has been part of the Ford EcoBoost family of turbocharged engines since 2015.
The 2018 model year Mustang was released in the third quarter of 2017 in North America and by 2018 globally. It featured a minor redesign to the exterior. The 2018 Mustang engine lineup was revised. The 3.7 L V6 was dropped and the 2.3 L 4 cylinder Ecoboost (direct-injection turbocharged) engine now serves as the base power plant for the Mustang.

Has the 2021 Ford Mustang Convertible with the base 2.3 litre engine and 10 speed automatic have no engine cover as factory installed OEM Equipment ? Just bought a new one about three weeks ago and i don’t have a cover. Asking the dealer, have not received a answer. Are they worried that they have to put one on? I know its only forty bucks plus the hardware. I need a answer. Thanks. Phillip.
