1966 Ford Mustang Golden Anniversary Edition

Not much is known about the ’66 Anniversary Gold Mustang. It is believed that less than 50 of these cars were produced, all being hardtops. These were offered to promote Ford’s one millionth mustang produced in March of 1966. All were painted with the special gold color, and had deluxe black pony interior. All were built at the San Jose plant and contained the DSO of 331111 and have the same build date of March 29. It is thought that the Mustang was part of a dealers sales competition, and only one ’66 Anniversary Gold Mustang was distributed to each of Ford’s sales districts.
