Professional Drift racer and now car builder extraordinaire Vaughn Gittin Jr will debut the RTR-X Mustang at the 2010 SEMA show later this year in Las Vegas.  Vaughn is teaming up with Team Need for Speed for this retro Mustang build that will use a 1969 Dynacorn Mustang replacement body shell as a starting point for what he hopes will be a performer on and off the track.  Powering the 1969 RTR-X Mustang will be the 5.0-liter V-8 from the 2011 Mustang GT with the possibility of a set of twin-turbos.

Other goodies found on this retro themed Mustang will be a Ford Racing Boss 302R1 six-speed transmission, Wilwood brakes, 18-inch Work Meister wheels with Falken RT615-K rubber, Art Morrison sub-frame assembly and Motec M800 ECU coupled with a Motec Sport Dash Logger digital display.
