George Follmer powers the Bud Moore-prepared Boss 302 Mustang to his first Trans-Am win at Bridgehampton in 1969. Due to problems with tire wear throughout the 1969 season, Follmer attributes his victory at Bridgehampton to FordÕs last minute switch from Firestone to Goodyear tires.
