2008 Ford Mustang Shelby Terlingua
Many people don’t even know what a Terlingua is, never heard of it. Well, I suggest you search the Internet for the “History of the Terlingua Racing team”. It is quite an interesting story. However the 2008 Shelby/Ford Terlingua is a special performance package mated to a V-6 engine that consists of:
- Paxton Supercharger
- Shelby gauge pod with a boost gauge
- Borla side exhaust
- Ford Racing suspension
- Short throw racing shifter
- Baer 6 piston brakes
- American 20 inch razor wheels
- 255/35 20 ” tires
- Ford V6 rear deck spoiler
- Sidescoops
- Shelby alloy quarter window covers
- Sequential taillights
- Shelby hood pins
- Black mesh grille
- Shelby front facia
- Shelby deep draw hood
- Special flat black striping kit
- Terlingua hood and fender logos
- Shelby rocker sill heatshields
- Shelby center hub covers
- MOMO Terlingua racing seats
- Terlingua floor mats
- Terlingua Shift knob
- Terlingua numbered dash plaque
- Ford GT start button
- Shelby numbered engine plate
- 3.73:1 rear axle
- Terlingua gas cover
- Terlingua pedal covers
- Terlingua engine covers
- Shelby key chain
So, what does this mean? It simply means that if you are driving a light V6 car, you will be in a 4.0L V6 Shelby pushing 375 tire smoking horsepower. 0-60 times are 5.3 seconds and with the lighter front end, it handles better in the turns than an eight cylinder car. If you have a 2008 V6 Mustang and want to convert it to a Base package Terlingua, it will cost you about $8,000. To convert to the Performance package, the cost goes up to abut $19,000.
